John Edward Ramsey

John Edward Ramsey, 55 of Clarksburg passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at his daughter’s residence in New Milton with family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1964 in Clarksburg to the late Vada Riffle Ramsey and Bud Snider of Philippi.

John was a self-employed carpenter and groundskeeper. His hobbies were fishing, being a handyman and loved spending time with his family.

John is survived by four children, John Edward Ramsey Jr, Clarksburg, Joseph Lynn Ramsey, Clarksburg, Carol Ann Ross and husband Dru, New Milton; Travis John Ramsey and fiancée Jona Floyd, Clarksburg and their mother, Kathy Lynn Weber Pumphrey, Independence; nine grandchildren, Selena, Mackenzie, Brantleigh, Andrew, ElyJah, Kyleah, Kayden, Mason and Isabella; siblings, Buck Ramsey and Ruby, Clarksburg, Carol Leary, MD, Barbara Knight and Kenny, Lost Creek, Jerry Ramsey, Clarksburg, Taylor Hurst and Debbie, Clarksburg, Willard “Tish” Hurst, Clarksburg and Barbara Snider, Philippi; like a brother, Clyde Ice, Mt Clare; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, John was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madison Ramsey; uncle, Raymond Riffle  

Private visitation and service will be held at Davis Funeral Home. A public memorial will be held at a later date.
