John David Deem

John David Deem, 32, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at J.W Ruby Memorial hospital. He was born on March 20, 1991 in Clarksburg, WV, son of Terry Lee Deem of OH and stepmother, Donna Deem of Clarksburg and the late Beth Ann Cunningham.

John graduated from Liberty High School Class of 2010. After high school John joined the Army Reserves and served for four years. He recently worked for Jennmar Services as a coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, going to the gym, shooting pool and spending time with his family.

In addition to his father and stepmother, John is survived by three step brothers, Robert Hardy, Michael Rossi and Jeremy Rossi; one step sister, Lisa Rossi; maternal grandmother, Pamela Jeffers of Clarksburg; paternal grandmother, Shirley Drummond of OH; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Riffle, Dale Jeffers and Amber, Jesse Cunningham, Dana Deem and Paul Deem and wife Vicki; two special cousins who were like his brothers, Christopher McNemar and wife Mary and Shawn McNemar; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his mother, John is preceded in death by his brother, Clinton Deem; maternal grandfathers, Jesse Cunningham and Wilford Jeffers; paternal grandfather, Dana “Skip” Deem.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his funeral care fund located on his memorial page.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg WV, on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 3:00-7:00pm.
