John Edward Anderson

John Edward Anderson, 85 of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at home. He was born in Clarksburg on December 9, 1936, son of the late Edward “Charles” and Flossie Belle Walker Anderson.

John graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1955. He proudly served in the United States Navy.  He retired from Union Carbide with over forty years of service. He enjoyed hunting, local fastpitch softball, and was a big gardener and Los Angeles Dodgers Fan. 

John is survived by two daughters, Sharon Anderson, Summit Park and Kelly Anderson-Bohlinger of Los Angeles, CA; and her husband Thomas Bohlinger, one son, Steve Anderson, Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson and husband Jeff Owens, Samantha Anderson, Shane, Kayla and Jacob Surrey; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Carol Caruthers Anderson whom he married on January 2, 1958 and passed on February 16, 2001; four brothers, Robert L “Bob”, Theodore E “Ted”, Brooks and Franklin Douglas Anderson and his daughter in law, Connie Anderson. 

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 1:00PM until time of service at Funeral service at 4:00PM will with Pastor Bobby Bright officiating. Family will also receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM.  Graveside service will follow on Monday at 11:30AM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Wounded Warriors. Online condolences may be sent to DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.
