Jeffrey “Jeff” Alan Dye, 48 of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019. He was born July 21, 1970 Clarksburg, WV; the son of Martha Lois Cottrill Dye of Lost Creek and the late Charles Harold Dye.
Jeff graduated from South Harrison High School and United Technical Center, Class of 1988. He was currently a machinist and sheet metal worker for Bombardier. He previously worked for Quality Machine as a machinist for several years. He was also was a member of the Salem Rifle and Pistol Club. His hobbies were farming, hunting, working and spending time with friends and family. He was very well known for helping other people and his love for animals, veterans and his country. Jeff never met a stranger. He only owned Ford Trucks and New Holland Tractors. Jeff was known for his work ethic and pride in a job well done.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Nancy Arlene Lamb Dye; two children, Erica Nicole Martin and husband Lonzo Alexander Martin of Lost Creek and Tucker Alan Dye of Clarksburg; six siblings, James Rogers and wife Sonja of Lost Creek, Lana Van Horn and husband Robert of Pataskala, OH, Amy Rogers of Lost Creek, Denny Rogers and wife Debbie of Summerfield, FL, Nancy Clark Dye of Bridgeport, and Richard Dye and wife Sharon of Quiet Dell; several nieces and nephews; soon to be grandson, Leonidas “Leo” Alexander Martin; and numerous friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Martha.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Sunday, June 9, from 12:00 Noon until time of Funeral Services at 5:00PM with Pastor Robert Van Horn presiding.
