James “Rich” Richard Rogers, 65, of Clarksburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born February 20, 1956 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of Patricia Ann Dennison and the late James Delane Rogers of Lost Creek.
Rich graduated from Liberty High School in the class of 1974, where he learned masonry work. His passion to help others led him to pursue a career as a fire fighter for the Clarksburg Fire Department; he served for 20 years. In another effort to serve his community, Rich started his own business in Little River, SC called H&R Masonry Inc.
Rich was not materialistic and the things that mattered most to him could not be bought. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, hiking, and spent a lot of time exploring the outdoors. He found joy in being present with his family and loved ones and capturing beautiful memories with a camera.
In addition to his mother, Rich is survived by his brother Steven Michael Rogers of Toluca Lake, CA and by his two daughters, Katelyn Rogers LeClaire of Broken Arrow, OK and Anna Rogers of Clarksburg, WV ; four grandchildren, Kaleb, Adriana, Ryne, and Jaylon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Rich was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Rogers.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2:00PM until time of Celebration of Life Service at 4:00PM with Pastor Terry Bell officiating.
