James "Jim" Edward Dennison

James “Jim” Edward Dennison 83 of Canonsburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born August 6, 1936 in Clarksburg, son of the late Howard H. and Catherine Hardman Dennison.  Jim graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1954.  He served his country in the United Stated Army Reserves.  Jim owned and operated United Tile and Carpet for 21 very successful years.  He was an avid sports fan, especially race car driving and all WVU Mountaineer sports.  His hobbies included golf, wine making and woodwork.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Jo Pitts Dennison whom he was married to for over 40 years.  Jim had a son, Jimmy Dennison and 4 stepchildren:  Greg Compton, Philip Compton, Diane Compton and Linda Compton Lohm and husband Eric; four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Settles officiating. Online condolences may be sent to Davisfuneralhomewv.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Dennison family.
