James Allen Walters, 71, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in Bridgeport. He was born on October 7, 1953 in Clarksburg, a son of the late John Francis Walters, Sr., and Mary Ann Morrison Walters.
He is survived by two daughters, Jamie Walters and companion Johnny Leary of Mount Clare and Crystal Vest and husband Keith of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Joshua Arnett, Brooklyn Leary, Jason Vest and Aimee Johnson and husband Harvey; four great grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Mallory Johnson, Killian Vest and Athena Vest; brothers and sisters, Arthur Walters and Myra, Darryl Walters, Gene Walters and companion Gloria, Thella Irene Lippert and husband Dennis and Marguerita Manley and companion Vincent Manley; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, John Walters, Lucky Walters, Darlene Walters, Albert Walters and Clarice Ann Vanscoy.
James worked for the West Virginia State Road for many years. He began working for the State Road from the age of 18. He enjoyed working on cars and old western movies.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Davis Funeral Home and Cremation on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM with the service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Garrett presiding.
