James Andrew Lawson

James Andrew Lawson, 59, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Bridgeport with his family by his side.  He was born on July 17, 1963 in Anderson, IN a son of Herbert Lawson of Clarksburg and the late Nancy McCormick Lawson.

James is survived by his wife of 40 years, Leah Garrett Lawson, whom he married on September 3, 1982.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by three children, Lou Ann Grant and her husband Travis of Clarksburg, Ryan Lawson of Clarksburg and Justin Lawson also of Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Casey Messenger, Christian Jenkins, Caleb Jenkins, Camden Jenkins, Canaan Talarico and Connor Grant; and two special foster grandchildren.

James was a 1981 graduate of Anderson High School in Indiana and was employed as a Custodian at Notre Dame High School as well as a courtesy patrol driver and the City of Clarksburg with the Public Works Department.

He enjoyed wood working, especially whittling and spending time with his family.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab for their excellent care and compassion.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 11:00AM until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Rev.
