James Arthur “Arty” Correll

James Arthur “Arty” Correll, 44, of Clarksburg, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.  He was born on March 17, 1982 in Clarksburg, a son of the late James Clifford Correll and survived by his mother Pamela Smith Correll of Clarksburg.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Richard and Karen Smith and Tim Smith; and many cousins.

Arty was a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame High School and furthered his education by taking Graphic Design classes at IAT Technical. He had a creative spirit and a deep appreciation for art, especially enjoying drawing and graphic design, where he was able to express his imagination and talent. He also enjoyed spending time playing PlayStation games and had a special love for all animals, whose companionship brought him great happiness.

Though quiet by nature, Arty possessed a wonderful sense of humor that often caught those around him by surprise and brought smiles to family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentle soul, creative mind, kind heart, and the unique way he touched the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be held at Bridgeport Cemetery on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 am with Reverend Tim Kelly presiding.  Online condolences may be shared at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com. Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Correll family.
