Jacqueline “Jackie” Kay Taylor Prunty, 81, of Anmoore passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born on May 13, 1944 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Carl B. Taylor and Betty Elizabeth Elliott Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arnold “Arnie” Eugene Prunty, who passed away on July 5, 2023. They were united in marriage on September 19, 1964.
She is survived by her son, Bob Prunty and wife Jennifer; son-in-law, Mark Cassella; grandchildren, Austin Prunty, Tyler Stire and wife Hannah, Mikayla Freeman and husband Travis, Corey Prunty and fiancée Avery Riley, and Seth Prunty; great grandchildren, Miszoura Stire, Lainey and Briggs Freeman; siblings, Judy Kirtner, Mary Ann Evans, James Taylor and wife Sharon, and David Taylor; several nieces and nephews; a very special friend and caretaker Charlotte McGary and her granddaughter, Makala Riffle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Cassella; two sons, J.R. Prunty and Mike Prunty; one grandson, Brady Prunty; siblings, Dickie Taylor, Delores Jordan, Brenda Davisson, Robert Taylor, and Rebecca Sue Odell.
Jackie was a loving wife and mother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She loved Amish trips with her daughter and sisters, family reunions at her brother Bills, playing bunco, walking with friends, watching tv, and her fur babies. Strong-willed and determined she faced life with resilience while also showing a caring loving heart to those around her.
Jackie worked at the Submarine restaurant in Parsons Souders/Stone & Thomas, Chick-fil-a at the Meadowbrook Mall, and Jays Hallmark. She valued hard work and took pride in serving others through each position she held and made many friends along the way.
Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 1:00- 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Stire officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
