Jackson “Jack” Floyd Lawson, 66 of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He was born June 29, 1953 in Jacksonville, NC, son of the late Jackson Lawson and Betty Moreland Hawkinberry.
Jack graduated from Victory High School and served in the United States Air Force as Staff Sargent during Vietnam. He retired from the VA Hospital with over thirty five years of service. He enjoyed bowling, taking walks, playing dice and cards. He loved NASCAR and was an avid WVU and Steelers fan. He was a member of Little Rock Camp Church. Jack was known for his witty personality, dramatic stories and cheerful dispositions.
He is survived by his three children, Nicole Lewe, Xenia, OH, Kristen B Ledsome, and Nicholas J Lawson, both of Huntington; Kristen and Nicholas’ mother, Julie Murdock also of Huntington; two grandchildren, Carissa Lewe, and Cane Lewe; one great grandson, Henryk; six siblings, Kathy “Sissy” Floyd and Carl, Margie Angiulli, Sherry Dodd, April Lawson, Erica Lawson, and Aaron Lawson; best friend, Jamie Rogers; fur babies, Bootsy, Ricky and Tommy; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 11AM until time of Funeral Service at 2:00PM with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park where full military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Army Honor Guard.
