Jack Casto

Jack Casto, 86, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Clarksburg Healthcare Center. He was born July 24, 1938 in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Francis “Jake” Fay and Freda Ronemia Adams Casto and was given the birth name of Ethnie Fay Casto. He is better known to his family and friends as “Jack”.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Frances “Aileen” Wilson Casto on December 27, 2019.

Jack is survived by his most loyal and faithful friend, his cat, Studley; children, George Casto, Paul Casto, Deborah Ryba and Denise Hand; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Cecil “Tom” Casto and, F. Post Casto (Sharon); sisters, Nancy Scardina, Laura Whaley, and Karen McBee (Mike); several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by his youngest sister, Patricia Casto Knight on March 23, 2020.

Jack graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1957, a founding member of the Harrison County Emergency Squad, and previous Eagles and Moose member. He was formerly employed with the Clarksburg Publishing Company for many years, self-employed as owner/operator of Jack Casto Trucking, delivered mail with J.O. Jett Trucking as well as driving for Greer Limestone, H&W Trucking and most recently delivered The Bulletin Board on the Marion/Monongalia Counties route. He will be remembered by many as he had a gift to gab and loved to drive big trucks!!

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 3:00 until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Sarah Allen officiating.
