Ivan "Buddy" Easton Whaley

Ivan “Buddy” Easton Whaley, 54 of Mt. Clare, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at United Hospital Center. He was born on March 31, 1971 in Louisa, KY, son of the late Ivan Easton Whaley Sr and Oretha Ann Fields Whaley  

Buddy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Candy Ann Everett Whaley; six children, Harley Whaley (Laressa McCauley), Randy Clark, Jeffrey Clark, Travis Whitt, all of Mt. Clare, Blaine Stickle of Parkersburg, and Jason “Chandler” Maxson (Shannon) of Wilsonburg; eleven grandchildren;  three sisters, Ivena Edgell and Tammy Whaley both of Clarksburg, Debbie Hass, Grove City, OK; several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by one son, David Allen Clark on January 26, 2025; one brother, Danny Whaley.

Buddy was a truckdriver, electrician, mechanic and security guard over the years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting skulls, being outdoors and camping, working on RC cars and loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3:00PM until the time of the funeral service at 5:00PM with Pastor Richard Settles officiating.
