Howard Lawrence Collins, III

Howard Lawrence Collins, III, 58, of Shinnston, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home.  He was born on August 5, 1966 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Howard Lawrence Collins, II and Shirley Riley Collins.

He is survived by two sons, Matt Collins and wife Haley of IL, Todd Collins of MO and one daughter, Maddi Collins of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Roman, Ezra and Nora Collins, two sisters, Kimmy Menendez and husband Jessie and Cindy Shorb and husband Matt; and his companion Susie Runyon; his best friend, Bob Lott.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Patty Hayes.

Howard was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1984.  He was a self-employed contractor working in the construction field.  Most recently, he was working in the oil and gas industry for the last eight years.  He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.  He was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking in the mountains and going to the beach.  Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
