Helen Vice Obituary

Helen Patricia Vice, 59 of Philippi, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at her residence. She was born on November 14, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of late Hank Anderson and Charlotte Sophie Kuchta Smouse and her husband Carl Junior Smouse.

Helen worked as a CNA at nursing homes in Toledo, OH and Grafton. She enjoyed playing Bingo, riding on her son’s motorcycle, traveling and being outdoors. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by four children, Joel Vice, Baltimore, MD, Kenneth Edward Curry Jr, Carl Edward Curry, Sr and Nichole Wilson all of Philippi, and Annabelle Roper, Toledo, OH; nine grandchildren, Jaydon, Sarah, C.J., Madison, Aleah, Marcus, Isiah, Skyler, David and one on the way; and companion, Mark Roper, Toledo, OH.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Vice; two siblings, Charles Anderson and Linda Martre.
