Helen Jeanette Lough, 93, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at her residence.
Born on November 20, 1932, in Bridgeport, Helen was the cherished daughter of James Ray Bland and Helen Diamond Bland.
Helen’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her children: Jack H. Lough Jr. of Clarksburg, Mark A. Lough of Clarksburg, and John T. Lough and wife Kimberly of Lost Creek. She was a proud and loving grandmother to John Lough and wife Bailey, Brooke Lough, and Tyauna Bonnell and husband Thomas. Her heart was especially full with the love of her great-grandchildren, Cooper, Bentley, Xavier, Jebadiah, Rider, and Zephaniah, and she was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another precious great-grandchild.
Helen dedicated more than 25 years of faithful service as a housekeeper at United Hospital Center, where she retired after a remarkable career defined by hard work, commitment, and pride. Helen never missed a single day of work — a true reflection of her determination, strength, and unwavering sense of responsibility.
She now reunites with those who went before her, including her beloved husband, Jack Lough; her son, Phillip Lough; and her brothers, Guy Bragg, John Bragg, and Jack Bland.
Helen will be remembered for the warmth she shared, the strength she carried, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her. Though her family’s hearts are heavy with loss, they find comfort in the countless memories and enduring bond she leaves behind.
Honoring Helen’s wishes, cremation services will be observed.
