Hazel "Suzie" Lee (Plaugher) Cool

Hazel “Suzie” Lee Cool, 76, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Forrest Hill Continuing Care. She was born on January 16, 1944 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Harry Goff and Hazel Pauline Thompson Plaugher. Suzie graduated from Victory High School in Clarksburg and then attended WVU, where she graduated with her degree in nursing. She worked as an LPN at UP Hospital in Clarksburg and Grafton City Hospital for many years. Suzie married her husband, Lawrence “Larry” “Bink” Cool, on July 28, 1977. Suzie enjoyed making blankets, cooking, and bingo. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Shadyside, Ohio.In addition to her husband, Suzie is survived by her children, David Lee Kidd, Morgantown, Danny Kidd, Moundsville, Bo Kidd and wife, Jennifer, Donna Rice and Tim Labat, and Christopher Barcelona all of Shadyside, Ohio, and Danyell Martin and husband, Gary, Ohio; grandchildren, Allison, Holly, Justin, Ryan, Shannon, Kayla, Tyler, Josh, Madison, Marshall, Henry, Emily, Juliana and Christian; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Suzie was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Hurst and Janet Martin; and three brothers, Harold, Carl, and Gayle Plaugher. 

Family will receive friends at Shadyside Church of Christ, 3821 Leona Street Shadyside, OH, on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2:00- 4:00 PM, with proper distancing and face mask required. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV, on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, with Reverend Richard Settles officiating.
