Harry Looker III

Harry Looker III 77, of Clarksburg passed away suddenly on June 12, 2020 at United Hospital Center. He was born on June 1, 1943 in Morristown, NJ, the son of the late Harry Looker II and Mildred VanNess Looker.

Harry married the love of his life, Rita Davenport on September 3, 1966. He graduated from Indiana Tech and retired as a civil engineer from the WV Department of Highways, after thirty-eight years of service. Harry was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarksburg for fifty-three years and having served many roles within the church. He enjoyed volunteering at the Mustard Seed over the last fifteen years. Harry also enjoyed using his HAM radio Call Sign N8VF, gardening, golfing, attending his grandchildren’s sporting and musical events, and domestic and international travel.

In addition to his wife Rita, Harry is survived by three children, Valerie Blurton and husband Jim, Boyds, MD, Mike Looker and wife Jennifer, Cumberland, MD, and Matthew Looker and wife Jamie, Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Tara, Jimmy, and Drew Blurton, and Michael, Alex, Olivia, Madison, and Sarah Looker.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his step- mother, Sally Looker; and one infant son, Jeffery Blaine Looker.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Monday June 15, 2020 from 3-7PM, with proper distancing and face mask required. Funeral services will be on Tuesday June 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Harry Jenkins officiating. We will be webcasting the service on his memorial page on the funeral home website. If for some reason the webcast drops we will finish recording and reload once completed to watch. Harry will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens following the service.
