Harry Austin Lewis, III, 93, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Grafton. He was born on December 14, 1931 in Charleston, WV a son of the late Harry Austin Lewis, II and Margaret Lenore (Hall) Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joretta Jean (McIntyre) Lewis, whom he married on October 7, 1961
He is also survived by five children, Rhonda Holbert and husband Timothy of Bridgeport, Rachel Saunders and husband William of Shinnston, Frederick Lewis and wife Lynn Edington of Charleston, Dr. Kevin, DDS and wife Sandra “Sandy” (Elmore) Lewis, of Clarksburg and Rebecca Lewis-Skidmore and husband Robert of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Matthew Holbert and fiancé Lindsey Butler, Samantha Mikolon and husband Korey, Cassaundra “Cassi” Saunders, Zane Lewis, David Lewis, Sarah Lewis, and Audra Skidmore; two great grandchildren, Kohen Mikolon and Emma Mikolon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy “June” Lewis.
Harry was a graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson High School, class of 1950. He attended WVU, where he ran track, later he took night classes at Salem College. He was employed in various departments with Anchor Hocking until he retired with 32 years of service. Harry will be fondly remembered as a loving husband and father whose warmth, loyalty, kindness and wisdom touched everyone who knew him. A passionate reader with a deep interest in history-especially World War II, Harry found joy in learning and reflection. He was a devoted West Virginia University fan, never missing a Mountaineer football or basketball game. His love for animals was apparent to all who knew him, especially his deep affection for dogs, who always held a special place in his heart. Harry’s presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories he shared, the games he cheered, and the love he gave so freely to his family.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors, nurses and all the staff members of Rosewood Center for their excellent care and compassion.

Family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr. Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Reverend Michael Q. Atkinson presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
