Gregory "Greg" Lee Loser

Gregory “Greg” Lee Loser, 63, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in a residential gas explosion.   He was born on February 17, 1961 in Montgomery, WV, a son of Mary Katherine Nale Byrd, Clarksburg and the late James Carl Loser.

Greg served his country in the United States Army. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a flagger.  Greg was active with celebrate recovery and appreciated all the support.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors and time in the wilderness. He was a good dad and enjoyed family time and his dog Buddy.

In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his daughter, Melissa O’Connell and companion, Christopher Newbrough; Clarksburg, two grandchildren, Lakyn Curtis and Everliegh Newbrough; lots of additional family and close friends.

 In addition to his father, Greg is preceded in death by his grandson, Tristen O’Connell

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM-7:00PM. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:30AM with  Lou Ortenzio officiating. Internment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the Harrison County Honor Guard.
