Genevieve Ann Martin

Genevieve Ann Martin, 87, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Clarksburg.  She was born on December 19, 1936 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late Gerald W. Robertson and Genevieve Stuart Robertson.

She is survived by her son Stephen Martin and wife Kay of Clarksburg; one granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Martin; one brother, David Robertson of Tallahassee FL; one niece Debra Murphy and one nephew, Jack Murphy; great nieces and nephews, Randy Carpenter, Lyndsay Melvin, Shawn Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jo Murphy.

Genevieve was a graduate of Crestview High School in Crestview Fl. And then later obtained her Nursing Certificate in 1964 from Fairmont General Hospital.  She was employed as a Registered Nurse for 35 years, working for many hospitals in the area including Fairmont General and Stonewall Jackson Hospital.  She was a kind and loving woman who treated everyone with respect.  She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Sara.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:00-5:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Tim Kelley presiding.
