Gary Junior Smedley

Gary Junior Smedley, 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Guardian Healthcare in Fairmont.  He was born on August 24, 1945 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Earl Junior and Gaynell Morris Smedley.

Gary is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Ruth Steel Smedley whom he married on November 18, 1966; one daughter, Rhoda Satterfield and spouse John Jr. of Fairmont; one brother, Richard Smedley of Barrickville.

Gary worked for Robert E Shackleford, Hadco and at last working for himself doing construction. He enjoyed woodworking, watching birds, and loved to collect lighthouses and model ships.
