Gary Owen Perdue, 67, of Clarksburg, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his daughters’ residence in Good Hope with family by his side. He was born June 9, 1954 in Frankford, WV, son of Kenneth Hope and Veda Ruth Vaughn Perdue of Clarksburg.
Gary graduated from Washington Irving High School. He retired from Quality Hydraulics and was a hydraulic mechanic with over forty years of service. He enjoyed fishing, especially the annual fishing trip to Canada with his brothers and grandsons. He also enjoyed hunting, collecting coins, studying history especially the WWII era, and his cars.
In addition to his parents, Gary is survived by his four children, Jennifer Lucille Downward and David, Good Hope, Marcie Ann Perdue and Brian Snyder, Harley Marie Bailey and Ashley Paige Perdue all of Clarksburg; ten grandchildren, Terance and Alyssa, Kaleb, Abigail, Myiah, Kolbee, Adrianna, Clayden, Kaylee, Kinsley and Jared; one great grandson, Joel; five brothers, Kenny Perdue and Dusty, Mount Clare, Steve Perdue, Clarksburg; Jeff Perdue and Cindy, Morgantown, Dave Perdue, Bel Air, MD, Kevin Perdue and Bobbie Jo, Morgantown; several nieces and nephews; and his four legged companions, Mowgli and Toby.
Gary was preceded in death by his fiancée, Bonita “Michelle” Hitt on December 15, 2006; and one brother, Paul Perdue.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 12Noon-6PM where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Jon Hayes officiating.
