Frederick "Fred" Amos Wyer, Sr.

Frederick “Fred” Amos Wyer, Sr, 80, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 At United Hospital Center. He was born on August 23, 1941 in Fairmont, WV, the son of the late Amos Lewis and Thelma Lee West Wyer. 

Fred graduated from East Fairmont High School. He served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam where he retired and continued to work for the US Navy as an electrical engineer contractor. He enjoyed, hunting and golfing.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Gail Hanna Wyer whom he married on June 23, 1962; one son, Frederick Amos Wyer Jr.  and wife Stacy, Suffolk, VA; three grandchildren, Dylan, Emily and Eric; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Monica Lee Wyer and Marcia Ann Wyer; two brothers, Rick and Jerry Wyer.

Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Wyer family. A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Memorial Park, Fairmont at a later date with full military honors.
