Frances Robinson Obituary

Frances Marie Robinson, 100, of Shinnston, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at her home.  She was born on September 13, 1924 in Lincoln, NE a daughter of the late Howard Landerking Pulse and Anna Marie Shilhan Pulse.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenford C. Robinson who passed away in 1998.

She is survived by six children, Ondelea Smith of Shinnston, LaRayne Lafferty of Mannington, Diane Ashcraft of Fairview, Bertha Holcomb of Ashbury, VA, Leslie Robinson of TX and Chester Robinson of Worthington; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; one brother, Mickey Pulse of Lincoln, NE and numerous other family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three children, Spencer Robinson, Harry Robinson and Anne Tulanowski; and nine brothers and sisters; great granddaughter, Heaven Murray.

Frances graduated High School in Lincoln, NE and met her husband while he was stationed in Lincoln NE.  She raised nine children and often made their clothing while they were young and also made flannel shirts to make sure the sleeves were long enough.  She also made wedding dresses, prom gowns and tuxedos.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting and crocheting as her hobbies.
