Evelyn Jo (Cutlip) Hosey

On June 30, 2021, Evelyn Jo (Cutlip) Hosey of Buckhannon WV passed peacefully into the gates of heaven in Clarksburg, WV. She was 69 years of age. She will be cherished in memories by her two daughters, Samantha and husband Mark Jamison and their children Desiree Jamison, Priscilla Nazelrod, Tonya Jamison, James and wife Brooke Jamison all of Buckhannon, WV and Alya Jamison of NorfolK VA;  daughter, Kalynn Ganus and her children Kameron, Kandice, Katelyn Brady all of Buckhannon, WV; one son, David McCourt of Buckhannon WV and his daughter Ellie Raine Lewis of Cowen; two sisters, Susan Cesaro of Dade City, Fl and Judy Burnside and husband Johnny of Buckhannon WV and step-mother and longtime friend, Kathy Cutlip of Dade City, Fl.  She was loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins from all over the United States.  She was born on October 18,1951 in Buckhannon WV to the late Billy Jo Cutlip and Rosalee Perrine Cutlip, she was also preceded into death by two sons, Billy Hosey and Luther E Hosey II. Evelyn graduated from Fred Eberle Vocational School with her LPN license. She worked in the tri-county area in hospitals, nursing homes, and in-home care. She was caring person that spent majority of her life caring for others. She was fondly called Grandma Evelyn by many and loved by all. Evelyn liked to watch shows about Bigfoot, listening to Kid Rock, and playing games with family. She liked talking on the phone to family and friends in which she liked leaving cute voicemails and finished her text messages by telling you she loved you more. She relished in her nap time, enjoyed drinking her PEPSI, and smoking her cigarettes. She was her family’s cheerleader in every aspect of their lives. She told you how it was, no matter how brutal her truth was. Evelyn had a backbone and a fiery spirit. Evelyn gave her final gift of love by donating her body and a memorial service will be held at a later time for friends and family.
