Etta Lou Linger

Etta Lou Linger, 81 of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 Bridgeport Health Care Center.  She was born December 26, 1939 in Holly, WV daughter of the late George Clarence and Jennie Marie Yeager Linger.  Etta worked at Louie Glass in Weston, Mountain View Restaurant as a cook and retired as a Caregiver, CNA for the Braxton County Senior Citizens Center.  Her hobbies were crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and word search puzzles. She loved spending time with her family. Etta is survived by six children, Stephen Linger and Jan, Arlington, VA, John Farley and Barbara, Bridgeport, Lavannia Hartley and Michael, New Philadelphia, OH, Paul Farley and Norma, Coaling, AL, Joyce Facemire and Michael, Bridgeport, Tim Farley and Lila, Deland, FL; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Johnson, Caress, WV, Joy Belle Jones, MI; several nieces and nephews. Etta was preceded in death by her children’s father, John Edward Farley; two brothers, Homer Scott Linger and Edward Lee Linger. A graveside service will be held at the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery, Lost Creek on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 3:00PM.
