Esther Jean (Hager) Meadows
Obituary
Esther Jean Meadows, of Mt. Clare, 80, formerly of Madison, WV passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, after over a decade of dialysis treatment and a recent case of pneumonia. She was born on October 18, 1942, in Jeffrey, WV, daughter of the late Kenneth and Margie Hager.
Esther was a retired cook for the Boone County School District, and a long-time member of the West Madison Baptist Church. In her younger years she loved baking and crafting. Her favorite activity was spending time with her granddaughters and then her great grandkids.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Jeral Ann McGowan and her husband Steve (worlds best son-in-law) of Mt Clare; two granddaughters, Elyse Coffman and her husband Brandon of Fairmont, Grace Allen and her husband Jamie of Clarksburg; three great grandchildren, Wyatt Allen, Khloé Coffman, and the newest addition to the family Vada Allen.
In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Bernard H Meadows, to whom she married on October 15, 1966. She was also preceded in death by her ten siblings.
