Esther Mae Hart

Esther Mae Hart 85, of Clarksburg passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Salem Center. She was born on March 19, 1936 in Bristol, WV daughter of the late Truman Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Fletcher Swiger.

Esther graduated from Bristol High School and the Morgantown Beauty Academy.  She had lived all over the country and spent several years in Fairfield, OH where she was a CNA for over twenty years. In 1997, she was recognized by HCR Manor Care for twenty years of service. Also in 1997, she was the Woodridge Employee of the year. Esther retired and moved back to Clarksburg to be closer to family.  She loved Elvis and attending country concerts.  She was a hard-working lady and would take extra shifts and cover coworkers so they could spend special days and holidays with children. She was a true caring and thoughtful lady.

She is survived by one brother, Robert “Butch” T. Swiger and wife Cynthia, Clarksburg; seven nieces , Lindsay Dunavant and Kelly, Sandra Nay and Steve, Debbie Zigler, and Lisa Sheppard and Harold; and nephews, Josh Swiger and Stacey, Pat George and Lisa, Mike George and Denyse, Chris George and Alicia, and Dave Castilow and Susan; as well as several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret A “Peggy” George, Betty Louise Costilow, and Amyce Greynolds Garvin.
