Emory Lehosit Obituary

Emory Joseph Lehosit, 81, of Flemington, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at United Hospital Center.  He was born August 4, 1939; a son of the late Joseph and Mary Helen Saliga Lehosit.   

Emory is survived by his wife, Samara A. Oliverio Lehosit; three sisters, Pauline Yurko of Brecksville, OH, Mary Doyle of Bridgeport and JoAnn Bodkin of Sylvania, OH; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Anne Lewellyn Lehosit on December 10, 2016; four brothers, Charles Lehosit, James Lehosit, Michael Lehosit, and John Lehosit; two sisters, Ann Marie Lehosit and Carolyn Robinson Kovach.

        Emory graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1957. He also graduated from Marshall University and Purdue University. He was retired from the United States Navy as a Navy Seal serving on the USS Ronquil during Vietnam. He retired from the California Highway Patrol with over twenty years of service. Following his Police duty, Emory was a Public Administrator in Orange County, CA managing estates. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus; Central WV Corvette Club, Life Member of the NRA, The Sons of the American Legion Post 68, Bridgeport; and Disabled American Veterans. He also active with the US Submarine Veterans. He was revered by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and stepchildren for his wealth of experience, intelligences, unwavering support, and firm guidance. Emory was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and marksman.     

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 3-8PM where a vigil service will be held at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church with Father Walter Jagela as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.
