Emma Michaels

Emma Michaels, 75, of Jane Lew, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 in Jane Lew.  She was born on March 5, 1950 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Harold Tenney and Estalene Kelley Tenney.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Larry Reese Michaels, who passed away on March 27, 2025.

She is survived by her two children, Randall Joseph Collins of Buckhannon and Cassandra Dawn Ayers and husband Russell of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Clarissa Arbogast, Joey Collins, Erin Huffman, Aiden Ayers and Jonathan Ayers; one sister, Erma Hanline and husband Phillip of French Creek.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Carl Tenney and one sister, Kietha Simmons.

Emma was a graduate of Buckhannon High School, class of 1968.  Emma dedicated her life to caring for others as an in-home health care worker, where her kindness and compassion touched many lives. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends, cherishing every moment of laughter and connection.  Emma loved to socialize, whether around a table playing board games, out on the water fishing, or simply enjoying good company and conversation. Outgoing and talkative, she had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She was caring, giving, and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.  Emma’s generous heart and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.  A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Elbon Cemetery, Buckhannon.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Michaels family.
