Ellen "Loraine" (Vernon) Haggerty

Ellen “Loraine” Vernon Haggerty 94, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at Serenity Assisted Living in Buckhannon, West Virginia.  She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on July 5, 1931, the daughter of the late Allen E. Vernon and Vivian Weaver Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Eugene Haggerty.

Loraine is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Ann Losquadro of Clarksburg; her granddaughter, Mikela Ann Losquadro; one sister, Yvonne Joyce Riggleman and her husband, Danny, of Buckhannon; one brother, and Clifton Vernon of Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, one sister; Shirley Vernon, four brothers; James E. Vernon, Allen Vernon, Charles Vernon, and Fletcher Vernon

Loraine found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed relaxing while watching her favorite television programs, admired the beauty of flowers, and looked forward to trips to the movies. Some of her happiest moments were spent sharing meals, laughter, and conversation with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished by those who loved her.

A private burial will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Quiet Dell.
