Eliza Madi (McWhorter) Baker

Eliza Madi Baker, 35 of Lost Creek, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born June 14, 1988 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of Jennifer Irene Singleton McWhorter, Clarksburg and the late John Henry McWhorter.

Eliza graduated from South Harrison High School. She enjoyed reading, gardening, doing crafts, drawing and was very artistic. She loved animals especially her five dogs.

In addition to her mother, Eliza is survived by her husband, Allen Lee Baker whom she married in 2018; stepdaughter, Khamber Star Baker; maternal grandmother, Helen Godfrey Singleton, Salem; two sisters, Julie Ann McWhorter Groves and husband Timon, Louisville, KY, Jessica McWhorter, Clarksburg; nieces and nephews, Estella Groves, Maurice Garrison Jr, Mia Garrison, Malik Edler; great niece, Mercie Edler; several cousins.

In addition to her father, Eliza is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Carl Singleton; paternal grandparents, John and Eva De Foe Shaffer McWhorter.

Family will receive close friends on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1PM until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00PM with Pastor Fred Templeton officiating.
