Elaine Michelle LaBenne

Elaine Michelle LaBenne, 64, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on August 31,1960, a daughter of the late John William LaBenne Sr. and Wilma June Starkey LaBenne.

Elaine graduated from Liberty High School and studied Art at Fairmont State College. She was a warm and loving person with a passion for painting. She was known for her sweet, caring nature. She adored her grandchildren and everyone around her, always seeing the best in people. Her positive attitude radiated, and she had a heart full of kindness. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over 29 years, which she cherished deeply. 

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Yvonne LaBenne and companion Jeff Hutchens of Gibsonville, NC; one son, Jason VanNorman of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren, Zoe Duvall, Eliza Duvall, and Cael Worsch; siblings, Mark LaBenne and wife Wanda of Clarksburg, Linda Thorn of Clarksburg, and Virginia Stonebreaker and husband Danny of Lumberport; two sisters-in-law, Tonya LaBenne and Tracy LaBenne; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her siblings, Gloria Schmidt, John LaBenne Jr., Wayne LaBenne, Kathleen LaBenne, and infant sister, Crinda LaBenne.

Family will receive friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 Arthur Ave, Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm with Bishop Jackson Hamrick officiating and Ross Frame will be conducting.  Online condolences may be sent to the LaBenne Family at DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.
