Edward “Ed” Leonard Rosky, 78, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 25, 2025, surrounded by love and care. Born on November 19, 1947, in Greensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Leonard Richard Rosky Sr. and Emely Mae Boyer Rosky.
Ed grew up with a strong work ethic and a giving heart. A proud graduate of Jeannette Senior High School, Class of 1963, he went on to work as a machinist at Westinghouse in Pennsylvania before beginning a new chapter in West Virginia. For over 20 years, he dedicated himself to helping others through his work at Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics, where he touched many lives with his skill, kindness, and compassion.
Known for his sharp mind and steady hands, Ed could fix just about anything. Whether it was working on cars, lending a hand with home repairs, or simply being there when someone needed him, he was the person friends, neighbors, and family could always count on. His generous spirit and willingness to help others will be deeply missed.
Ed is survived by his devoted friend and caregiver of 25 years, Jim Ashcraft of Clarksburg; two brothers, David Rosky of Delmont, PA, and Keith Rosky and wife Shari of Jeannette, PA; sister-in-law, Cynthia Rosky; and his beloved aunt, Dorris Morris of Plum, PA. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and neighbors who will forever cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Ed was welcomed into eternal rest by his three brothers, Leonard R. Rosky Jr., Ronald D. Rosky, and Terrence R. “Terry” Rosky.
Ed’s legacy will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering willingness to help others.
Interment will be held at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 1000 Sharps Hill Road, Sharpsburg, PA 15215.
