Edward "Doc" Milton Allen, Sr.

Edward “Doc” Milton Allen Sr., 78, of Anmoore, WV passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 22, 1942 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Andrew Milton and Margaret Jane Cox Allen.

Doc is survived by daughter, Meredith McClain & her husband, Mark, Anmoore; two grandchildren, Eric McClain and Bailey Levi McClain; four brothers, Tommy Allen, Maryland, Orvil Allen, Clarksburg, David Allen, Chiefton, and Charles “Chucky” Allen, Salem; three sisters, Sandra Siders, Wilsonburg, Dolly Wine, Liberty Addition, Mildred Jane Allen, Reynoldsville; his four legged Yorkie, Suzie; numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Doc was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Sue Bramer Allen on February 7, 2018; son Edward Milton Allen, Jr; two brothers, Ronald Lee “Tex” Allen, Stanley Allen; five sisters, Idamay, Edna, Oleta, Mary and Elizabeth.

Doc enjoyed traveling around with the Carnival with his wife in their younger years. He was a truck driver for Central Products in Waverly, WV and delivered steel for the New River Gorge Bridge. He retired from the City of Clarksburg in the Street Department. He was a retired Captain with the Anmoore Fire Department. Doc enjoyed working on cars, socializing and playing cards with his friends and family.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00AM with Elder Barry McClain and Pastor Doug Joseph, presiding. Interment will follow at Marshville Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his Funeral Care Fund on his memorial site.
