Edward Lee Cox, 79, of Stonewood passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 10, 1941 in Nutter Fort, the son of the late Orie Edward and Geneva Francis Phillips Cox.

Edward went to Roosevelt Wilson High School in Nutter Fort. He was a lifelong employee at United Carbon for over forty-five years, until his retirement in 2010. Next to his family, his biggest passion was motorcycles and he enjoyed camping, boating, and loved to be outdoors.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Connie Sue Knapp Cox; one son, Richard and wife Janet Cox of Stonewood; one grandson, Andrew Cox of Morgantown. Edward had four sisters, Betty Frances Harvey, Phylis Ann Lantz, Ida Mae Lemasters, and Deloris Jean Hornick.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one son, Edward L. Cox, Jr. who passed away in 1986.
