Edward Allen Davis

Edward Allen Davis passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on August 28, 1935.  He graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1954 and attended Fairmont State University. He married his wife Shirley Watkins on April 8, 1983.  Ed pursued a career as a Mail Clerk for the United States Postal Service after serving in the United States Air Force.  He retired at age 55 and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel, eat out, and play on his iPad.  Ed is survived by his wife, Shirley Watkins Davis; daughter, Darlene and husband Douglas Tuthill of Campbell Hall, NY; brother, Robert and the late Lilly Davis of Greensburg, PA; niece, Katherine and husband Tim Comello of Silver Spring, MD; great niece Lilly and great nephew Joseph; niece, Jennifer and husband Gregory Billman of Tuscaloosa, AL; great nieces, Rebecca and Theresa; great nephews, Christopher and Stephen; nephew, Andrew and wife Azadeh Davis of Phoenix, AZ; great nephew, Cameron; great niece, Elizabeth and husband Shannon McWhorter of McCalla, AL; stepson, Carl and wife Melodie Nuzum of Fairmont, WV; grandchildren, Ryan, Travis, and Madison Nuzum; stepson, Todd and wife Kristi Nuzum of Fairmont, WV; grandchildren, Linley and Von Nuzum, Tylyn and Gavin Asterino. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lynn Colebank Davis and his father, Sydney Davis. According to his wishes, his body will be cremated and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
