Edith “Edie” Marie Ferrell

Edith “Edie” Marie Ferrell, 64, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at United Hospital Center.  She was born on September 23, 1959 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late Farley Ray and Freda Elizabeth Gillis Counts.

Edie was a home maker and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, playing pool, dancing, and planting flowers. Edie loved her family and spending time with everyone, especially her grandchildren and her two great granddaughters.

Edie is survived by her spouse of 30 years, Sam Cope.

She is also survived by her two children, Steven Ray Ferrell II and spouse Tonda of Parkersburg, and Stephanie Ferrell of Flemington; grandchildren: Avery, Layla, Haley, Mary, Cassie, Dalton, Jonah, and Nate; two great granddaughters, Tori and Lexi; two brothers, Farley Counts Jr. of Reynoldsville, and Richard Counts of Salem.

In addition to her parents, Edie is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
