Edith Ada Liedy, 56 of Elkins passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at River Oaks in Clarksburg. She was born November 27, 1963 in Elkins, daughter of the late Mary Conard Wheaton and adopted and raised by the late Birtle Washington and Elizabeth Odell Betty Jones Kirkpatrick. Edith graduated from Elkins High School and was a homemaker. Edith was avid NASCAR fan and her drivers were Johnson, Stewart, and Gordan. She loved sports and watching the Dallas Cowboys and WV Mountaineers. She was a member of the Elkins Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband Stanley Martin Liedy; two sons, DeWayne M. Kirkpatrick and Amy and Logan Nathanial R. Kirkpatrick Miller; two grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Faye Davis Nelson, Elizabeth Leoana Pire and Lyman all of Wellston, OH; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother and adopted parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, James D Nangle and Roberta Lea Bradley.
