Edith “Lavern” Dye, 78, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Clarksburg. She was born on August 31, 1947 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Leonard Eugene Snyder and Louella Mildred Matheny Snyder.
She is survived by one brother, Steve Snyder and one sister, Carmen Robinson; four children, Michelle Perella of AK, Donna Murray of TX, James Dye of SC and Ronald Dye of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Sara Dye, Alexander Richard Perella, Michael Dye, Destiny Dye and Mariah Stroman; and eleven great grandchildren;
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, William Jeremiah Greenleaf, who passed away serving in the Armed Forces; and five siblings.
Lavern enjoyed gardening and cooking. She will be missed by all who knew her.
