Douglas Wayne McElroy

Douglas “Doug” Wayne McElroy, 63, of Lost Creek passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was born June 15, 1957, in Detroit, MI, to the late Elmo Owen and Betsy Louise Simmons McElroy.

Doug spent much of his time outdoors and loved to be outside. He enjoyed fishing and camping especially. Doug worked was self employed as a roofer for many years.

Doug is survived by his wife, Judith L. Ables McElroy; one daughter, Tonya Harrell; three step children, John David Ables, Robert Samuel and Melissa Dawn Anderson, all of Michigan; one brother, Michael David McElroy, Detroit, MI; two brothers-in-law, Dayton Walter Ables and James Michael and Sherry Lynn Ables, Clarksburg; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lynn Ables and Loretta Maxine Gould; as well as several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
