Doris Jean Allevato

Doris Jean Allevato, age 66, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at United Hospital Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 8, 1951 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late Teddy F. Davis and Martha Jean (Bias) Davis.

Doris is survived by her husband of 48 years, Anthony James Allevato of Clarksburg, WV; two sons, Jimmy Allevato & his wife, Dee of Stonewood, WV and David Allevato of Clarksburg, WV; four grandchildren, Christian D’Anthony Allevato, Jagger James Allevato, Madison Lane Allevato and Dale Metz; three sisters, Shelia Green & her husband, James of Clarksburg, WV, Lavonne Sparks & her husband, Howard of Clarksburg, WV and Teddie Steiding & her husband Paul of Mt. Clare, WV; an aunt, Linda Lantz of Clarksburg, WV; brother-in-law, John  Joseph & his wife, Teresa Allevato of Ft. Wayne, IN; four nieces, Beth Bennett, Toni Green, Lacey Sheets and Teth Peiffley, all of Clarksburg, WV; two nephews, Howard Lee Sparks, Jr of Clarksburg, WV and Kagen Steiding of Mt. Clare, WV; several great nieces and great nephews.

Doris worked for Foodland as a cashier and she also worked 15 years at United Hospital Center as an admission clerk. She was an associate member of the Beech Mountain Sportsman Club, a lifetime member of L.A.M.O.P.H. and St. James Catholic Church. Doris was a WVU sports, college Football and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loves to decorate, paint, make crafts and cook.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Teresa A. and John A. Allevato.

Per her request, Doris was cremated. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
