Doran E. Webb

Doran E. Webb, 91, of the Wolf Summit community passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Bridgeport.  He was born on January 11, 1934 in Wallace, WV a son of the late Harley Webb and Mary Bramer Webb.

He was preceded in death by his long-time companion of over 40 years, Isabell Pumphrey.

He is survived by his children, David Webb and wife Betty of Marshville, Doran “Michael” Webb  and wife Rexanne of Jane Lew, Becky Webb and companion Mike of SC; Daughter in law, Tonya Webb; Robert Pumphrey and wife Linda, Susie Pumphrey and companion Vance and Wilma Carder and husband Jimmy; special granddaughter, Missy Pumphrey and her companion John Grogg, Jeff Swisher and wife Cassie, Brett Swisher and wife Jenna, Michelle Swisher, Courtney Alkire, grandson, Robert Pumphrey, Shari Webb and husband Adam, Brittany Cain, Rachel Timmons and husband Detrick, DJ Webb and wife Rachel, Mandy Linn and husband Scott, Crystal Brown and husband Donald and Kevin Webb and wife Crystal; several great grandchildren and one great great grandson; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and companion, he was also preceded in death by three sons, Dennis Webb, George Pumphrey and Alfred Pumphrey; and four brothers, Dwaine Webb, Delano Webb, Dale Webb and Arlis Webb.

Doran attended Bristol High School and was employed by the State Road for WV as a Grader Operator until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on lawn mowers.  He also had a very special companion, his dog Midnight who he loved very much.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00-12:00 where a funeral will be held at 12:00 noon with Reverend Dan Cope presiding.  Interment will be in Marshville Cemetery, Marshville.
