Donna (Hickman) Lake, 70, of Clarksburg passed away peacefully on June 11, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born in Richwood, WV on August 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert J and Blanche Brown Hickman, both of Clarksburg.
Donna graduated from Victory High School in 1967. She worked at Williams Jewelers in Bridgeport for nineteen years, as well as being a Mary Kay consultant for many years. Donna loved to bake and make delicious desserts. She enjoyed attending all of her grandkid’s sporting events, tent camping and boating, and just being outside and enjoying life and family in general. Donna was also an active member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church for many years.
Donna is survived by one son, Matt Lake and wife Amy, Chillicothe, OH; one daughter, Stephanie Lake and longtime partner Jeff Lewis and his daughter Olivia, Clarksburg; grandchildren, Caleb, Evan, Ryan, and Anthony Lake, all of Chillicothe, OH; sisters Patti Hamrick and husband Paul, Bobbi Starkey and husband Larry, all of Arlington, and Kay Moyer, Anmoore; several nieces and nephews; former husband Ed Lake, Clarksburg; lifelong friends, Marsha and Jim Molina and Debi Duarte, all of Clarksburg.
Donna was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Spatafore, Bridgeport; and her longtime companion, Robert Casebolt, Barboursville.
In keeping with her generous nature and at her request, Donna has donated her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry in Morgantown.
