Donald Eugene “Hoppy” Hossler, 92, of North Canton, OH passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born on August 19, 1932 in Canton, OH, a son of the late Donald S. Hossler and Edna Mae Myers Beebe (Benjamin).
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Kaye Hossler Harris of Clarksburg, WV; sister, Nancy Weaver of Ohio; grandchildren, Christopher Hildreth, Brian Hildreth (Elizabeth), Kevin Hildreth, Kristina Leggett (Rusty) that took care of him his final days and Kimberly Drainer, all of WV; great grandchildren, Emily Hildreth, Ryan Leggett and Skylar Leggett of WV and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy M Tahaney Hossler, father and mother-in-law, John and Emalline Tahaney, daughter, Donna J. Drainer and three sons at birth; and one brother, James Hossler; son-in-law Michael Drainer; brother-in-law Robert Weaver.
He was employed and retired from the Hoover Company. He was a very energetic man. When he retired, he started walking every morning at the crack of dawn. He also read his Bible every day and he took care of himself for many years.
