Donald James Mayle

Donald James Mayle, 77, of Clarksburg, passed away on January 29, 2026 in Bridgeport.  He was born on February 29, 1948 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Hartzel Dakota Mayle and Mary Katherine McDonald Mayle.

He is survived by his siblings, Marilyn Midledge, his twin brother, Ron Mayle, Sheila “Gail” Clary, Twila Mills and Dora “Dee” Hallam.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Emily Golomboski, Barbara Cain, Lisa “Ann” Davis, Hartzel “Sonny” Mayle, Tommy Tucker Mayle, Danny Mayle, and Art Douglas Mayle.

Donald loved the outdoors, finding joy and comfort in camping, spending long days at the lake, and fishing whenever he could. He had a special fondness for country music, often enjoying the memories and feelings it brought back. Independent by nature, Donald carried a great sense of humor that could lighten any moment. He was kind, thoughtful, and reflective, often reminiscing about times gone by and sharing stories that made others smile. His gentle presence and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
