Dickie "Richard" Haddix Obituary

Dickie Ray Haddix better known as Richard, 68 of Shinnston passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at United Hospital Center after a two year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He was born on May 6, 1954 in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Arthur and Naomi Maxine Stout Haddix.

Dickie is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Marsha Floyd Haddix; two sons, Michael Haddix and his wife Joyelle, Frederick, MD, Jason Haddix and his wife Karen, Enterprise; two daughters, Lindsay Adams (Haddix) and her husband Bryan Adams, Reedsville, Leanna Haddix, Shinnston; four grandchildren, Anthony Haddix, Mathew Haddix, Madison Adams, and Landon Adams; two brothers, Jackie Haddix and wife Shelly, Mount Clare, Donald Haddix, Clarksburg; two sisters, his twin, Debra Savina and husband Jack Savina, Salem, Alice Wildman and husband Kirk, Clarksburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Violet Price Floyd, Wallace; brothers-in-law, Billy Floyd and wife Cynthia, Wayman Floyd and wife Sara all of Wallace; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Floyd, Wallace, Karen Moore and husband Brad, Worthington, Cynthia Nuzum, Clarksburg; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Dickie is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Wilson and husband Todd; one brother Leonard Haddix.

Dickie was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, Class of 1972.  He retired in 2002 after many years as a heavy equipment mechanic.  If you knew Dickie you knew he loved his animals Nik, Rango, and King Boy.  He was an avid Mountaineer fan; he loved to garden, fish, target practice with family, and he could fix anything he got his hands on.  He was a handy man with a heart of gold.
