Diana Lynn Dye, 71, of Quiet Dell, stepped in the arms of our Lord surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
She was born on July 22, 1954, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Oscar Elder, Jr. and Corine Vada (Goodwin) Elder.
Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Dye.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shannon Lynn Lucas and her husband, Dwayne, of Bridgeport; her cherished grandson, Dwayne Lucas, Jr.; step-son, Bobbie Dye of Lumberport; her brother, Brian Elder of Clarksburg; Shannon’s father, Gary Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Jenkins and Carla Gregory, and her brother, Berry Elder.
Diana grew up with a deep love for horses and found great joy in riding her racing horse, Deep Streaks, affectionately known as “Stubs.” She had a true passion for baking, working in her garden, and caring for her animals—especially her beloved dog, Pistol.
Honoring Diana’s wishes, she will be cremated.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 12:00noon-3:00 p.m.
