Diana Lynn Dickson

Diana Lynn Dickson, 66, of Parkersburg, WV passed away in the early hours on Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born April 3, 1959 to the late Harry “Bud” Grimm, but was raised by her step father Ralph and her mother Lena Schmidt.

In April of 1983 she married the love of her life Danny Dickson. They spent 42 wonderful years loving each other completely. She spent her life caring for her home and raising her children, as well as caring for her patients when she was a CNA. She loved spending time with her family, movie nights, cooking giant family dinners, walking through the woods after a fresh snowfall, 70’s music, going shopping, and boating on the river. In her younger days she was an amazing roller skater and quite the bowler.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Danny Edwin Dickson; two children, Alicia (John) Dickson of Parkersburg, WV and Danny (Logan) DIckson of Devola, OH; five grandchildren that were the light of her life, Jamie Kimball, Shirley Adkins, Ethyn Hines, Addison Bills and Avary Dickson; 12 bonus grandchildren; Fayth Sunderman, Isiah Cox, Jayla Cox, Khloe Cox, Preston McDonald, Zac Farson, Gracie Farson, Caylor Cupp, Sutton Cupp, Hayden Bills, Kimber Bills, and Alexander Bills; one great granddaughter, Marlee Kimball, four sisters, Rhonda (Larry) Adkins of Wellsville OH, Cathy (Wayne) Cleveland of Davenport FL, Virginia Rose of Salineville OH, and Alores Michael of Newell WV; two brothers, Kenneth (Cindy) Grimm of Wellsville OH and Ralph (Charlotte) Schmidt Jr. of Salineville OH; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice; 3 brothers, Gerold “Pete” Grimm, Harold “Perk” Clark, and David Clark; one infant brother, David Grimm, and 6 sisters, Anna Fergison, Lisa Shiver, Michelle Grimm, Patty Schmidt, Margaret McVay and Mary Birney.

A viewing will be held at Family Life Center, 426 Barkwell Street, St. Marys WV on Tuesday, November 4th from 3pm-6pm. All are welcome. A second viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5th from 10am-1pm at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialist, MacLean Chapel located at 509 Riverside Ave. Wellsville OH 43968.
